Fabriano 7: the new paper block for painting at school

Fabriano is already looking ahead to September. Alongside its timeless classics, for Back to School 2025 the brand is launching a range of original and creative paper solutions to bring a splash of colour to everyday classroom life.

Leading the way is Fabriano 7 (F7) — a drawing pad designed for wet painting techniques such as tempera and watercolour. Its special cold pressed enhances the typical effects of water-based media, like beautiful colour washes. The perfectly balanced internal and external sizing makes this paper especially resistant to the demands of wet techniques: colours stay vibrant, luminous and brilliant, while still allowing pigment to be lifted before fully drying.

F7 is made with FSC®-certified cellulose (Forest Stewardship Council) and is part of the HydroPower range, produced using more than 55% of electricity (equivalent to 14% of total energy use) from Fabriano’s hydroelectric plants.

Inside the front cover, a comic-style illustration by Alberto Madrigal introduces Fabriano’s iconic watermark in a fun and accessible way. On the back, a paper atlas showcases Fabriano’s role in the history of papermaking technology.

F7 adds a fresh new chapter to Fabriano’s school drawing range, inspiring students along their creative journey.
