The laid lines are parallel to the larger side and the chain lines to the shorter side on the sheets. The head of Minerva is watermarked on the sheets, below left, and the inscription C.M. FABRIANO, below right. On the envelopes too the watermark of the head of Minerva appears and the inscription C.M FABRIANO (below centre).
