Fabriano partner of Lee Bae exhibition

Fabriano is thrilled to be the official tech partner of the exhibition “La Maison de la Lune Brûlée” by Korean artist Lee Bae.
The Wilmotte Foundation hosts it from April 20th to November 24th, 2024 as a Collateral Event of the 60th International Art Exhibition at La Biennale di Venezia.
The exhibition curated by Valentina Buzzi presents South Korean artist Lee Bae’s homage and exploration of a century-old ritual known as Moonhouse Burning and explores the profound connection between humans and the natural world. Inside the exhibition hall, visitors will encounter various Brushstroke installations (2024) unfolding on both the floor and the walls of the foundation, which are coated with FABRIANO white paper through a special technique called “marouflage”. The Brushstroke installations are painted using charcoal paint derived from the Moonhouse combustion.
Organized by the Fondation d’Entreprise Wilmotte and the Hansol Foundation/Museum SAN. In collaboration with Johyun Gallery.
Supported by the Embassy of the Republic of Korea in Italy, the Korean Cultural Center in Italy, the Embassy of Italy in Seoul, the Italian Cultural Institute in Seoul, the City of Cheongdo, Perrotin, Esther Schipper Gallery, and Fabriano. La Bella Carta dal 1264
